SIGARRA

SIGARRA - Information System for the Centralized Management of Academic Resources and Records - is an integrated information system that facilitates both access to relevant institutional information of a pedagogical, scientific, technical or administrative nature and internal and external academic and business collaboration.

Processes involving students, teachers, researchers, non-teaching staff and even extra-institutional users are all registered on SIGARRA.

The system provides complete information regarding student academic records, course study plans, schedules and room availability, a directory of people, publication authors, on-going projects, etc. It further serves to respond to external queries regarding the School’s course offer and general activities.

As a base platform for managing information at U.Porto, SIGARRA works with other University applications and systems, such as library management systems, learning management systems, financial management systems, attendance control systems and building access control systems, among others.
